Earthbound is an excellent game that you must play if you like RPGs that offer a fantastic atmosphere and an amazing story. Earthbound is an incredibly awesome Super NES game. I strongly recommend trying Earthbound (or Mother 2 as it's referred to in Japan) the chance because it holds up very well as a must have classic Super NES game.. The combat is easy however, it's not as intricate than games like Final Fantasy of its time.
